Make sense of what's going on for you

A place to come back to yourself

For when you've lost touch with what you feel, want or need and life feels like something you're getting through rather than living.

Working together

Many people come to me having learnt to cope by appearing capable on the outside, but internally feel overwhelmed and now feel disconnected from what they feel, need, or want

You may be reaching out if you:

  • Feel stuck in relationships that leave you unfulfilled or repeating familiar patterns

  • Feel shame, loneliness, low self-esteem, anxiety, or depression that you can't fully name

  • You may experience ongoing physical symptoms such as tension, fatigue, pain, digestive difficulties, numbness or voice-related difficulties, yet medical explanations alone don't seem to resolve or account for them

  • Struggle to trust your instincts or feel unsure about what you need

  • Are effected by the past or overwhelming experiences that show up in the present

My approach is collaborative, down-to-earth and attentive

Hi, I'm Sara سارا

I work in Shoreditch and East London, offering therapy in person and online.

Alongside my counselling training, I have a background as a classical singer. Having worked in high-pressure creative environments, I understand some of the challenges that can come with performance, self-expectation, visibility and the pressure to keep going even when something feels difficult underneath.

I help people who have spent years coping, adapting, performing or holding things together. I understand both the emotional and physical impact of that.

This has shaped my interest in how people adapt to stress, trauma and emotional strain. Sometimes these experiences are easy to recognise; other times they show up through anxiety, perfectionism, relationship difficulties, burnout, or physical symptoms such as tension, fatigue, pain, numbness or feeling disconnected from the body.

Many of the people I work with are used to managing a lot on their own. They often appear capable on the outside, while internally feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of themselves.

I am registered with BACP, BAATN and BAPAM. I work in an LGBTQ+ affirming and culturally attentive way, recognising how identity, culture and social context shape how we relate to ourselves and others.

Over time, therapy can support you in developing a clearer relationship with yourself, not by changing who you are, but by helping you notice, understand and trust your own experience more fully (often leading you towards successfully achieving your goals).

Together, we will make sense of what's going on for you.

What might change

As awareness grows, many people begin to:

  • Feel less self-critical and ashamed and over thinking subsides

  • Experience less anxiety and overwhelming feelings

  • Trust your instincts more

  • Every day tasks feel less overwhelming

  • Experience relationships as more authentic and less effortful

  • Feel more at ease in your body and less dominated by physical symptoms of stress

  • Develop a greater understanding of the connection between your emotional life, relationships and physical wellbeing

  • Finding yourself in circles and relationships that are more aligned with you and where you feel more fulfilled.

  • You start the "thing" you've been putting off
